CHEYENNE – The Department of Family Services says it has launched a new Web site, which it calls it’s “public face” and is using a new logo.
“The new site looks great, and I think people will be really pleased with how easy it is to use,” DFS Director Tony Lewis said. “Information like field office phone numbers and addresses are easier to find, and so are program applications.”
The look of the site has changed along with content, but the address remains the same: dfsweb.state.wy.us.
“A state agency’s web site is very much its public face, so making staff members and program information easier to find just makes it easier for our clients and others to learn more about what we do,” said DFS Public Information Officer and Web Content Manager Juliette Rule. “We’re updating content regularly. We’re looking to highlight programs as well as update general information about programs at dfsweb.”
The new logo features a muted earth-tone color scheme and the agency’s slogan, “Make a Difference.” That same palette of browns, greens and oranges are used on the agency’s Web site.
The site and logo were designed by Warehouse 21, a Cheyenne firm specializing in marketing and design. The agency says it paid the firm $12,500 for the logo, business cards, letterhead and web site.

Thanks for the plug, Phil. I can’t wait to see how many more visitors we get to our site with all this ink, virtual and otherwise. We are in “constant tweak” mode to make it more useful every day.
