CHEYENNE – The House passed on third reading a bill to allow Wyoming citizens to carry concealed firearms without a permit.
Senate File 47, concealed weapons, has also passed the Senate. The legislation is on its way to Gov. Matt Mead.
The House passed the bill 49-9.

I work in Wyoming, currently live in Colorado. Had a CCP for Wyoming, changed it over to Colorado when I moved. Don’t quite understand why I would have to go through training, and pay fairly hefty fees to be able to carry a firearm in my purse or jacket or (you name it) if others do not have to pass some sort of additional training and/or pay extra fees.
*Most* people who carry at all already go through training of some sort. Now they have basically abolished the “tax” that goes along with an inherent right. It’s not like a slew of people are going to run off and buy a gun and start carrying concealed… It also makes people who already carry concealed – legal — in most places. It’ll be interesting to see the places they are not still allowed to carry.
This is a good day for Wyoming and liberty.
